Cordyceps Sinensis Soup

Ingredients

  • Tibet Nagqu Cordyceps: 15-20 strips
  • Salted Gordon Euryale seeds: 1 tael
  • Chinese Yam: 1 tael
  • Dried lotus seed: 1 tael
  • Morinda officinalis: 5 taels
  • Desertiving Cistanche: 5 taels
  • Walnut meat: 1 tael
  • Southern date: 4-6 pieces
  • A little tangerine orange peel
  • lean pork or chicken: 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Brush the mud and sand on the body of the Cordyceps, and use a small brush to clean the sub-seat part and the connection between the sub-seat and the insect body repeatedly. Because the cordyceps is small and its friability is easy to be fragile, it should be washed with cold water and fast. Do not wash each strip for more than two minutes. The cordyceps will not shrink and the nutrients will be lost at least.
  2. Blanch the lean meat or chicken and set aside.
  3. The tangerine peel is soaked, and the rest of the materials are washed and set aside.
  4. Boil 1.2 litres of water (12 Chinese bowls of water), add all the ingredients, boil on high heat for 15 minutes, then turn to slow heat for 3 hours, add salt to taste and serve.
